Coldplay in selling lots of records shocker
Jul 16, 2008
This story is proof that, for once, the world actually has gone mad. For Coldplay's brave, experimental (in this case experimental meaning 'as wet as ever, but this time we forgot to write any choruses') LP, Viva La Vida has reached the top of the charts in a staggering 36 countries. Apparently their last slab of humdrum reached the top in a meagre 32 countries. Losers.
It has already gone gold or platinum in 31 countries. Residents of the USA, Germany, Australia, the UK and Canada should feel most ashamed of themselves, as it has gone at least single platinum in those places.
