Dinosaur Jr to rock the Forum
May 14, 2009
Legendary rockers and grandfathers of grunge Dinosaur Jr are bringing their super-distortion guitar pedals to the London Forum on June 9, as part of the run-up to this year's MOJO Honours List Ceremony.
Despite having a rather harrowing time when attending one of their gigs (it was about 1993 and my ears are still ringing), Flashlight is still convinced this gig will be ace for the following reasons. Their new single is really pretty damn good. Their last album is really pretty damn good. J Mascis's current hairstyle is really, truly fucking awesome. He looks like a Grunge Apache working at the local library.
Tickets went on sale yesterday at 9am and can be bought here
Dinosaur Jr are releasing new album Farm on 22nd June, preceeded by single 'Get Over It' on the 15th June.
'I Want You To Know', taken from the forthcoming album, can be downloaded free here
