Get free stuff from Full Time Hobby!
Oct 9, 2008
This is a few days old but worth mentioning as it involves getting something for nothing. Respected indie label Full Time Hobby, sometime home to the likes of Malcolm Middleton, The Hold Steady and The Accidental were inspired by indie labels such as Rough Trade, Domino and Creation; indeed the title of their free comp is a direct spoof of Creation's Doing It For The Kids album. The difference they have to most indie labels is that they've actually done pretty well for themselves, which in this day and age is pretty bloody commendable. To celebrate their fourth birthday, they've made a compilation entitled Not Doing It For The Quids available for free download in exchange for signing up to their mailing list (OK, so you never quite get something for nothing but close enough...)
You can download the album from their website here
The tracklisting is as follows -
- Tunng - Take
- Fujiya & Miyagi - Dishwasher
- Micah P. Hinson - Tell Me It Ain't So
- White Denim - Mess Your Hair Up
- Malcolm Middleton - A Brighter Beat
- The Accidental - Illuminated Red
- The Hold Steady - Your Little Hoodrat Friend
- Viva Voce - Lesson No. 1
- Autolux - Turnstile Blues
