No limit on Glasto tickets this year
Sep 10, 2008
Michael Eavis has announced that there will be no limit on the number of tickets you can buy for the 2009 Glastonbury Festival as long as each punter is registered. In a move that smacks slightly of desperation after this year's festival failed to sell out until the final moment, you will be able to buy as many tickets as you like. Speaking on the official Glastonbury website, Eavis stated, 'I'm pleased to point out that anyone intending to come to the Festival in 2009 won't be limited to one, two or even six tickets when the booking opens on October 5. Our only stipulation is that each ticket - bought or reserved - is matched to a valid registration number. This way we can ensure that tickets are going to genuine Festival-goers only. With your consent we will save your registration number so you won't need to re-register for the next four years.'
The tickets this year will cost an exorbitant £175 and festival goers can reserve their tickets from the 5th October, putting down a £50 deposit. All this, once again, before we know whether the festival will be headlined by The Rolling Stones or Dumpy's Rusty Nuts.
