Glastonbury 2010 tickets sell out in less than twelve hours
Oct 5, 2009
For the first time in a fair few years, tickets for the 2010 Glastonbury Festival sold out yesterday on the day of release. This is despite the fact that Michael Eavis was 'forced' to put up prices once more, despite low inflation and, well, a great big recession that's left most festival goers skint. Prices now stand at a whopping 185 quid. Plus a fiver booking fee. And another fiver for postage. This is nearly three times more expensive than when Flashlight first attended in 1995. But hey, if it continues to sell out, the price will continue to rise. And who can blame the kids, with such cutting edge acts as U2 and The Rolling Stones rumoured to be appearing, and a grand total of no big name acts yet confirmed. Don't you dare accuse us of bitterness at the fact that we can't afford to go; nothing could be further from the truth. Have a good time you lucky sods. Hope it rains.
