Grandmaster Flash to release new LP
Dec 4, 2008
Hip hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash is to release a new album, The Bridge: Concept Of A Culture in February next year. It will be his first new LP in 20 years. Woo hoo! He has, of course, roped in a myriad of cold school and contemporary collaborators alike to assist him.
You know what, it will probably actually be rubbish, but it's nigh on impossible not to feel a pang of excitement about the potential results of collaborations with the likes of KRS One, Big Daddy Kane, Q-Tip and the rather marvellous (and fat - yes, that's spelt correctly) freestyling talent that is MC Supernatural. Rentaverse MCs such as Snoop (who I think may actually have been on every single rap record ever made) and Busta will also be present. See below for footage of Grandmaster Flash in his pomp..
