Ian Brown announces new album
Jul 22, 2009
Ian Brown has confirmed the details of his upcoming sixth solo album, and has revealed the inspiration that a recently deceased icon had on it. The album is called My Way, and is due out soon after the lead single 'Stellify', which is released on September 21st. Brown told NME.com that the album was largely inspired by Farah Fawcett, and that, spookily, the final day of mixing took place on June 25th, the day that she died.
Brown said: "Charlie's Angels was our blueprint. Every time we wrote a song we didn't think was strong enough, we scrapped it. We mastered it on the day that Farah Fawcett died too, so I'm taking that as a good omen."
What do you mean we got the wrong June 25th death? And that we're stretching out a gag that Nick Cave did first anyway? Fuck the lot of you.
