Details of Josh Homme's new supergroup revealed
Aug 6, 2009
Super groups have been scientifically proven to not work. At least 83.9% of such acts have been as bad as the Traveling Wilburys. That said, not one of those 83.9% of bands had Josh Homme in them. I don't think any of them had Dave Grohl back on drums and as far away from Foo Fighters as is humanly possible - ie where he belongs - either. In fairness, some of them did probably have Led Zeppelin's bass maestro John Paul Jones. We haven't really done our research on this, and 1970s musicians were utter whore bags. However, the point of this is that Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones' new supergroup, Them Crooked Vultures, are almost upon us, and are almost certain to be brilliant. Certainly better than Oysterhead, anyway. Look them up, we did.
Them Crooked Vultures make their live debut at Chicago's Metro this Sunday (9th August). Rumours abound of a UK tour very soon.
