Britney Spears - Womanizer

I really expected this to be interesting, at the very least. After the couple of years that Britney's had, I half expected a self referential (or, rather someone else writing about her) pop comeback par excellence. That, or, at best, an absolute pop gem a la 'Toxic'. But fuck me, if this isn't absolutely chronically shit. It starts passably, with 80s squiggles aplenty. But. Then. That. 'Chorus'. Appears. What on earth is that?

It sounds like the trials and tribulations of her recent past have left Britney with a chronic stutter that means it takes her about eight attempts to actually say the word 'womanizer'. Even more tragically, it seems that the poor mite may even have been left with some kind of post shock amnesia. She has one thing to say in this song, mainly that some bloke is a womanizer. After each time she manages to actually get the word out, she seems to forget that she's actually said it, repeating it again and again ad nauseum, unable to get any other words out until she's satisfied herself that she's made her point. And, even sadder than all of that; where's the fucking tune?
