Jack White & Alicia Keys - Another Way To Die

The Bond soundtrack returns to form with this duet, after the rather limp Casino Royale effort from Soundgarden's Chris Cornell. All thoughts of the much discussed Ronson / Winehouse effort can now be put to bed as 'Another Way To Die' soars cinematically, invoking the spirit of John Barry's classic score.This is all strings and horn stabs that give it that over-the-top feel of all the best Bond themes, and gains extra points for managing to shoehorn the word 'solace' in there, even if it can't actually quite manage the whole film title.
The only slightly bizarre aspect of the track is the production as the pair sing together on the chorus. Sounding rather rough around the edges, it almost sounds like a shout-off, with Jack White attempting to make himself heard over Alicia Keys' rather more conventional voice. It's a small gripe though and this is bound to sound epic over the opening credits when the film is released on 31st October.
