What an intro 'Rescue Me' has. It's got the lot...triumphant horns, elastic bassline, bongos and classic break all announce themselves in the opening thirty seconds. It's not subtle, but then that's not Para's modus operandi. No, this is all about getting asses to the floor in double quick time, and with a little help from a classic damsel in distress vocal from Slo-Mo's Caitlin this is achieved with consummate ease. I say consummate ease; I'm sat at a lap top a million miles from a club. But I'm grooving just as much as my headphone cable will allow, so that's proof enough.
'High Speed Dubbing' meanwhile, is an aggressive piece of cut and paste wizadry which recalls Bay Area legends Shadow and Cut Chemist, but with the added je ne sais quoi that Swindon brings to the party. Which, bizarrely, on the strength of these two tracks at least, is plenty.
